A freelance journalist and former marketing and public relations consultant, Kris Sofley continues to track and report on the latest trends and business practices in the global television industry and related media ventures. She also develops and crafts positioning papers, speeches and long range media strategies for a number of emerging and established entertainment sector businesses.

Sofley also serves as a contributing editor to the National Association of Television Programming Executives' monthly online newsletter, NATPE News, an in-depth information resource for NATPE members worldwide.

Sofley comes to Bridge Media Communications from C21 Media, publishers of Channel 21 International, C21 Kids, C21 Formats and Future Media as well as the daily online newsfeed C21Media.net. As US Editorial Director and a founding partner of C21 Media, Sofley spent the past 10 years covering all aspects of the global television industry, with a special emphasis on U.S. television production, distribution and marketing. In addition to covering news relating to program development, production and distribution, Sofley also tracked promotion and marketing trends, licensing and merchandising opportunities and the latest technological developments that impact the television community in the U.S. Her analysis of U.S. broadcast and cable networks' programming schedules for C21's Schedule Watch, as well as U.S. executive profiles and trend pieces, contribute to C21 Media's timely coverage of the global television marketplace.

Prior to joining C21 Media, Sofley spend nearly two decades working in marketing and public relations for Explore International, National Geographic Television, Pryor & Associates and Segal Associates. She got her start with Billboard, the trade journal of the global music industry, in 1980.
