Bringing 17 years of experience in entertainment marketing, corporate communications and publicity in the film, television, home entertainment and consumer products industries to her role as EVP Business Development for Bridge MCG, Carol Holdsworth also serves as head of her own marketing agency, 360 Marketing & Communications.
Previously, Holdsworth was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MarVista Entertainment, an independent producer and distributor of family entertainment programming. Responsible for program sales across a diverse catalog, Holdsworth also strategized and implemented all marketing and communications activities to promote the companyıs programs to overseas television and home video buyers. MarVistaıs programs include the flagship teen series Beyond the Break (a co-production with Brookwell McNamara Entertainment), airing in the U.S. on The N, Nickelodeonıs nighttime network for teens and young adults.
Holdsworth joined MarVista from Fox Family Worldwide where she served as Senior Vice President of International Marketing and Corporate Communications for ten years, developing publicity and marketing programs relating to worldwide program distribution, consumer products, international channels and branded program blocks.
Responsible for the strategy and implementation of the trade and consumer media campaigns for the first Fox Kids European channel launch, Holdsworth continued to support the media and marketing efforts during channel roll-out phase across Europe, Latin America and Asia, which eventually reached 35 million households in 73 countries.
Holdsworth has several years experience successfully researching, hiring and supervising multiple overseas public relations agencies to develop and implement consumer media campaigns in many countries. Her supervision in this arena helped to avert international media criticism for the sometimes controversial Power Rangers franchise, the companyıs top revenue generating property, by developing on going anti-drug messages to children. Her campaigns led to the series being successfully reinstated in Italy.
During her first five years at Saban Entertainment/Fox Family Worldwide, Holdsworth developed an in-house PR department with a staff of 30 to supervise trade and consumer publicity across all company divisions: domestic distribution, consumer products, home entertainment, interactive and international distribution. She spearheaded media strategies for a slate of up to ten new kidsı properties annually including Power Rangers, Scholasticıs Goosebumps, X-Men, The All New Captain Kangaroo, Francine Pascalıs Sweet Valley High, Marvel Super Heroes, The Addams Family and Casper.
